Basil Nubel (1923-1981) was a landscape painter in oil and watercolor. Nubel studied at Leeds College of Art under Alfred Daniels and Maurice de Sausmarez, then at the Royal College of Art under Carel Weight, Robert Buhler and Rodrigo Moynihan. He was one of Jack Beddington’s ‘Young Artists of Promise’ and lived in London.
